The Flora-Clay County ESDA Rescue squad, provides rescue services to Flora and surrounding areas by mutual aid agreements, at the the request of neighboring agencies.
The Flora-Clay County ESDA Rescue squad is equipped with hydraulic extrication tools which are often referred to as the "Jaws of Life".
The group trains on a regular basis, focusing on new methods to decrease extrication times, and develop new skills, as well as to understand new vehicle designs and issues which may arise.
The Rescue Squad is made up of several volunteers that are dedicated to keep up to date training and a high percentage rate of participation in both training and actual calls.
Even though our most frequent calls deal with vehicle extrication, we
expanded our training and capabilities to allow us to respond to most
any emergency situation with a high probability of success.
